Director
Mr. Amuthan is the guiding beacon of Baptist Healthcare, who has steered the company successfully since its inception — including its earlier avatar of DAMN Enterprises. The success story of Mr. Amuthan in the corporate world is not a fable laced with miracles, but interspersed with marks of sturdy and steady growth — of a lad raging with an indomitable spirit.
Mr. Amuthan had his humble beginnings in the healthcare industry, starting his career as a Medical Representative in 1994. As a young man with pumped-up adrenaline, he strode all difficult paths with ease, excelled in his sphere of work, broke all stereotypes and, in 1997, became the numero-uno out of 200 of his peers by achieving all the targets triumphantly.
His steadfast focus and inexorable commitment to reach greater heights saw him through significant achievements year after year, making his career graph soar. As a result, Mr. Amuthan was promoted to Area Sales Manager in 1999 for his unrivalled feat of acing all targets — becoming the first MR to be promoted at the very young age of 26 years.
As success continued to chase him, Mr. Amuthan rose to become Regional Manager in 2001 and then General Manager within a short span. An avid experimenter, he chose to tread the path unexplored in his mid-career phase, joining as a Marketing Head in the media industry in 2008. In charge of establishing the Tamil publication "Punnagai," he built a full-fledged organization from scratch and, within two years, raised its subscriptions to one lakh within a very narrow window — phenomenal and outstanding by media standards.
After a brief yet remarkably successful stint in media, his original calling came knocking, and in 2012 he was swift to revert to the healthcare industry. With three more partners, DAMN Enterprises was established alongside Ethicare Enterprises, Rajkot as a business associate. As his niche fortified and sales burgeoned, he converted the partnership firm into Baptist Healthcare Pvt Ltd in January 2022. Pursuing his ambitious dream of a brand of his own — and aided by the growth of the cosmetics sector — Mr. Amuthan set out to launch his own brand, TULIA, with a multitude of products under Baptist Healthcare Pvt Ltd.
Mr. Amuthan is ably assisted in financial matters by his wife, Mrs. V. Thangamani, who is also one of the Directors of Baptist Healthcare Pvt Ltd.
